Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By using our website you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions and that you agree to abide by them.

If you do not agree to these terms of use, please refrain from using the website. We reserve the right to make changes to the website or to this disclaimer at any time.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.


Birks Cinema Beer Club is run by The Birks Cinema Limited and The Birks Cinema Trust.

The Birks Cinema Trust is a Scottish Company limited by guarantee and without share capital, incorporated under Company Number SC360708 and is a recognised Scottish Charity, number SC041030. Registered Office: J&H Mitchell, 51 Atholl Road, Pitlochry, PH16 5BU.

The Birks Cinema Limited is a 100% subsidiary of The Birks Cinema Trust, and a Scottish Company limited by shares, incorporated under Company Number SC428528, with Registered Office at J & H Mitchell, 51 Atholl Road, Pitlochry, PH16 5BU, and was established to manage activities within the Birks Cinema building at 1 Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy, PH15 2LE.

In the following terms and conditions, the “Birks Cinema Beer Club” is part of The Birks Cinema Limited and subject to the terms and conditions applying to The Birks Cinema Limited, except where clarified or superseded by the Terms and Conditions below.

By registering your details on our website, you consent to Birks Cinema Beer Club maintaining, recording, holding and using personal data we collect about you.

We are fully committed to the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR and are dedicated to the privacy of your information. Please refer to the Privacy and Cookie policy summarised on The Birks Cinema website for further information.


You must be aged 18 or older to buy alcohol. By subscribing to the Birks Cinema Beer Club you are confirming you are aged 18 or older. It is an offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 in the UK.

If someone else is collecting your monthly beer club box on your behalf they must be aged 18 or older. Your age or the age of the person collecting on your behalf will be verified on collection.


The Birks Cinema Beer Club subscription is billed monthly, and will be ongoing unless you notify us to cancel. The billing cycle depends on the date of your initial subscription and is billed on the same date in each subsequent month.

By subscribing to the Birks Cinema Beer Club you are agreeing to pay the recurring monthly subscription fee, until cancelled by you. We reserve the right to increase or otherwise change the amount or timing of the subscription at our sole discretion.

Monthly subscription payments will automatically be charged to your nominated debit or credit card via our third-party payment platform Stripe. All major credit and debit cards are accepted and payments are securely processed using an encrypted SSL protocol.

If a recurring subscription payment fails we will notify you by email and will make up to four attempts to retrieve payment. If payment is not received by the collection date, we will void that month’s beer box from your subscription. If recurring subscription payments fail for two consecutive months, we reserve the right to automatically cancel your membership and any benefits that membership entitles you to.


You may cancel your subscription at any time. We ask that you notify us at least 3 working days before the billing date of the month you wish to cancel from, to avoid being charged for that month. To cancel your subscription please email beerclub@birkscinema.co.uk.


If you fail to collect your subscription box within 14 days and have not notified us to cancel or suspend your subscription, we reserve the right to retain payment for that month and return your items to stock.


If you are unhappy with your subscription box please contact us via email within seven working days after collection, and we will make every effort to agree a satisfactory outcome with you.

In case of a broken product when the box is collected please notify us within 2 days after the collection date and we will arrange for a replacement (subject to availability) or refund.

If you decide to return the subscription box, all items within the box must be returned unopened and in their original condition and packaging, within 14 days from the date of collection. We will refund the value of your order minus any discounts. Ensuring the safe return of the package together with any costs incurred, will be your responsibility..


We reserve the right to accept or decline any subscription.

We make every effort to supply goods as shown on our website, however, occasionally we do have to substitute beers for an alternative of equal or greater value, where a valid substitute is available. In this event, we will attempt to contact you first.

There may occasionally be price changes, sold out goods and other unintentional errors on our site. We reserve the right not to be liable for these errors or changes and neither Birks Cinema Beer Club nor any employee will be liable for damages arising from the use of this website or the products sold here.
