Beer Box #15August 2021
This month's box features 2 Scottish-brewed beers, and 3 other highly-rated beers, spanning a few styles. The first Scottish beer is Local Motive from Stirling-based Fallen Brewing - an easy-drinking Session IPA (3.9% ABV). Second, is Gladeye IPA from Glasgow's Drygate Brewing Co - if you're in Glasgow the Drygate Brewery is a great place for a meal and beer tasting.
Then we have 3 beers from the acclaimed Full Circle Brew Co out of Newcastle. Looper is smooth but bold and citrusy IPA made with Citra, Mosaic, and Cashmere hops coming in at 6.2% ABV. Next up is Rotator - a double dry-hopped Pale Ale with Citra and Idaho 7 hops. And finally something a bit different - Summer of '86 is a Saison (the first we've included in a Birks Beer Box) made with apricot and peach fruit puree - so expect refreshing and fruity - perfect for if we get a few more days of high-temps.
